Going by statistics generated by the National Civil Status Registration office, the Southwest sits on the top of regions with the lowest procurement of civil status documents.
The information was made known to the public, Wednesday, August 21, 2019, during the celebrations of the Second African Day Celebrations for Civil Registration and Vital Statistics, that took place in Buea.
To bridge this gap, robust measures have been implored to sensitise the population on the need to own these documents, especially as it plays a vital role in the identification of a citizen as part of a country
